Trish Butler was crowned Queen of Homecoming and Jonathan Maeyer was recognized as King. ?
The sophomores won the float competition with a float depicting a summer bar-b-que. The seniors, with a float representing more or less the ultimate “laid back” look, won second, and the freshman float with a fishing theme was third.
Musical entertainment during the football games was provided by the high school band playing mostly pep band songs.
The weekend of activities concluded with an “Evening in Paris” fat the Homecoming Dance.
In the Friday afternoon games the girls jumped out to an early 7 to 0 lead, but the faculty closed it to 9 to 3 by the end of the half. Then the boys and men took to the floor, and again the students took an early 4 to 0 lead, but that did not hold up and , the men closed the half ahead 17 to 16. Faculty scoring was led by boys’ basketball coach Eugene Baltimore dressed in a cheerleader outfit. Faculty women’s scoring was led by girls’ basketball coach Laura Conklin. i
Following a class competition in yelling, the girls and women took to the floor again. Mr. Baltimore donned a wig and briefly joined the women’s team giving them the boost they needed to take the lead. In the male competition the men increased
