Lockett Burford
Lockett Bailey Burford, 92, of Amherst, formerly of Flint Hill, died Thursday, Oct. 20 at the home of his sister in Amherst.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Dristdll Funeral Chapel in Amherst by the Rev. Jack Schooler.
Graveside services were held Saturday at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Burford was born July 17, 1902, at Waugh’s Ferry Farm in Amherst County, son of the late M. Dameron and Julia Bailey Burford. ■ He was a retired maintenance supervisor with the Virginia Department of Transportation in Fairfax and Arlington counties. He was a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church and the husband of the late Virginia Fisher Eastham Burford.
Surviving is a sister, Ann B. Hill of Amherst.
