Peggy Page Tharp of Edinburg and Terry Allan Ballowe of Strasburg were united in marraige on June 11 at Oak Level United Methodist Church in Fort Valley.

The Rev. Edward T. Wright and E. Edward Nuckols III officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Mary Belle Tharp of Edinburg. She is the granddaughter of Lena Crisman and the late Russell Crisman and Pate and Alice Tharp of Castleton.

The groom is the son of James and Janet Ballowe Sr. of Strasburg.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a formal length gown of romance satin. The bodice, adorned with lace, hand sewn with pearls and sequins in a floral pattern, was styled with a high neckline with jeweled collar, a shear yoke featuring vertical rows of pearls and a basque waistline.

Slight poufs with sheer insets trimmed with vertical rows of pearls, accentuated the long tapered satin sleeves, enriched with sparkling lace motifs. A pyramid of beaded appliques decorated the front and a hemline border of sheer scalloped lace completed the softly gathered skirt which flowed into a cathedral length train embellished with lace medallions, t She carried pink and burgandy
