Wolf said. “The best thing the president can do is to get with the Republican leadership and say This is what we need to do.’ We need to get together.”
Wolf said he could approve a health care bill with a few changes.
“The problem before was the president had universal coverage,” Wolf said. “He threw down the gauntlet then. But if he compromises and works with the Republicans, then I believe it will go through quickly.”
Another issue Wolf said he will favor is term limits.
“I have mixed feelings about term limits because on the one hand you have term limits already every two years. At election time you can limit someone’s term,” Wolf said. The other side the feeling has been against the situations we have now like Rostenkowski. But if it came up for a vote I would support it. ” /
Wolf said he won’t vote against assault weapons.
“I voted for the Brady bill, but I voted against the crime bill because frankly, I don’t think it would accomplish anything and could make innocent people out to be criminals,” Wolf said.
“The Brady bill doesn’t ban weapons, you just have a waiting period to get them,” Wolf said. “The Brady bill has caught people, and I think it will help the crime situation, and it has already helped it. The crime bill won’t do that.” i
