Republicans? In order to help the whiny Mr. Clinton get his way legislatively, the Republicans, the minority, would not only have to stand foursquare behind him, they’d have to fight for him. Get real, Mr. Johnson.
As for everything else he is claiming credit for, the credit either belongs to somebody else (try Ronald Reagan for the freedom from nuclear aggression), or well, as for the rest, the jury is still out. You don’t get credit for situations in which even people on your side, like Mr. Johnson, say “cross your fingers.”
