The Lady Panthers lost two more basketball games this past week. Clarke teat them last Wednesday night, 32-60.
The high scorer was Jessica Arnold with eight points; Susan Jewell and Janet Hitt each made six points.
Strasburg also defeated the varsity, 25-64, on Monday night. Hope Dunn had an amazing 17 rebounds. “I think that’s very commendable,” said Coach Laura Conklin. Janet Hitt was high scorer with 13 points.
The girls finished out their season with a home game against George Mason on Tuesday night.
Boys’ varsity basketball coach Eugene Baltimore said tryouts will be held on Nov. 14 and 15, with cuts being made on the 15th. He is so excited that he wishes they could start playing tomorrow. “They are ready,” he said.
Lucas Stanley will be coaching the junior varsity, and Jason Gochenour will be the 8th grade coach.
