Four distinguished visitors from the past came to Mt. Zoin Baptist church to tell of the way things were in their time. The occasion was the Shiloh Baptist Association’s 200th annual meeting, Saturday, Oct. 29. One hundren thirty seven delegates represented the member churches.

Elijah (1743-1803) was portayed by Jon Heddleston, interim lay pastor at Reynolds Memorial Baptist church. Heddleston, as Craig, told of his seizures and arrest, once at his plow and once from his pulpit, and being taken to the Culpeper jail. Silas Bruce (1804-1884) impersonated by Rev. Ken Huneycutt, pastor of Bethel Baptist church, told of the 830 marriages and over 2000 baptisms he had performed. Rev. Philip
