The highest bid was $4,600 for the lucite sculpture “Reflections” by Hume artist Frederick Hart. Part of the proceeds from this sale will go to the Piedmont Environmental Council.

Artwork by Mary Brownstein, Todd Siler,: Lynn Beaver, and locals Jeff MacNelly, Laurie Marshall, Dan Lewis, Sandra Forbush, Jeanne Drevas, Robin Purnell, Peggy Schadler, and Davette Kvames, also brought in substantial bids.

Art lovers visited the gallery on Friday and Saturday to view the work to be auctioned off. Because some could not be present at the live auction, they left bids with the gallery to be made in their absence.

Mr. Lewis said that an auction may also be planned for next spring.
