Johnson accuses the Republican of “obstructionism.” Thank God they were able to stop the lobby bill; sounds like a good bill, but in actuality it was an attempt to silence citizens at the grass-roots level. Had it passed, conservative organizations like Focus on the Family would have to register and turn over their mailing list to the government. Beware of another bill before Congress called the Fairness Doctrine that is really an attempt to silence conservative radio and TV programs.
Also, thank God the Health Care bill didn’t pass in its present form. Yes, we need reform, but does anybody really believe the federal government can effectively manage a health care system which represents one-seventh of our economy? The Democrats were trying to force Republicans to accept the 1,300-page document without having ample time to analyze it.
Vote for Ollie North Nov. 8 to stem the tide of hypocrisy in this Administration.
