Im not naive, I know that Republicans are not the solutions to every problems, but lately they have been. Most surely in this election the Republican candidate, Oliver North, is by far a beter choice that Chuck Robb.
The Democrats are desperate to win this election, and they are using the same strategy that their candidate for Lt. Governor used last year—lies! They are having problems since Ollie has raised more money and he already had name recognition.
Ollie has received the endorsement of the Fraternal Order of Police, the NRA and the Richmond Times Dispatch and many other organizations, all of which also endorsed George Allen last year.
So let’s keep up the “taking back government” movement we started when we elected George Allen last year by electing Ollie North to the U.S. Senate.

I want to respond to Augustus Johnson’s letter last week. This is my first time responding to the numerous letters he has written recently, with which I disagree.
He asks, “What does a president have to do to get a little credit?” Yes, a crime bill was passed, but it did not include funding for 100,000 cops, only 20,000.
Yes, an education bill was passed; at over $12 billion a year; how much improvement will there actually be in educating our kids; time will tell. The federal government has no business mandating education at the state and local level. I wonder how many congressmen actually read the 1,000-page document. Former education secretaries
