Eastham was stopped in her Dodge in the crossover waiting to turn on to U.S. 211 when she was struck by the truck.
Mr. Lee’s truck had $500 damage and Ms. Eastham’s Dodge had $5,000 damage. No one was injured.
Two high school students were charged with possession of alcohol under age after being found asleep near a parked pickup truck by the bridge at Rock Mills just after midnight last Saturday. A passerby observed that one of the juveniles was lying face down under the truck, checked to be sure they were okay, and then called the Sheriffs Office.
Major Rick Mac Welch said that the boy and girl had been drinking vodka and were intoxicated. They both received summonses.
