The Lions then decided thajl these gifts could not be put to better use than to open a special account that would be available for a specif. ic new purpose by the DARE program. The Lions Board then agreed to match any gift up to $100 for this purpose. This idea was enthusiastically accepted by Capt. Jeff Brown, the deputy responsible for DARE education in our schools, since it would provide resources for making awards throughout the year.
The Lions intend to maintain this special purpose fund as a renewable resource to motivate our students who care enough for DARE to make a lasting difference. *. . a constructive difference.
