The afternoon’s speakers will be Janiqe Skerry, Curator of Ceramics and Glass at Colonial Williamsburg as well as Margaret Morgan Grasselli, Curator of Old Master Drawings at the National Gallery of Art. The day session will adjourn after questionand-answer period.
The Saturday evening session will take place at the Old Post Office Restaurant, across the street from the Library. A reception and dinner will be followed by a presentation by Lorella Brocklesby of New York University’s Parsons School of Design.
On Sunday, participants will meet, first, at the Kurtz Cultural Center where they will receive a Curator’s tour of “A Legacy for Winchester,” the first public exhibition of furniture, paintings and decorative arts from the collection of Julian Wood Glass, Jr. The Symposium will conclude at Glen Bumie, Mr. Glass’ ancestral home, for refreshments as well as a tour of the house and gardens.
