Can Kerr had led the team in hits. Coach Payne said he has watched softball hitters for years, and she is one of best he has ever seen. Replacing her play at shortstop will be another challenge for the next season.
Several of the younger players oti the team are participating in the Senior division of youth softball through a Culpeper league. For 13-15 year olds the program will provide the players with more valuable playing time. The home games are at the high school softball field on Wednesday evenings. The away games are generally in Culpeper on Saturdays. *

Senior Mark Jenkins finished third in the regional track meet in Charlottesville Friday in the 3200 meter run and will compete Saturday in the state meet.
