Rappahannock County 4-H offers many different activities for children ages five to 19.
Cloverbuds are non-competitive and are between the ages of five to eight. The Afterschool Cloverbud Club for 4-Her’s five to eight years of age, meets once a month at the Extension office under the volunteer leadership of Rachel Bechtold.
Bechtold brings enthusiasm and experience in early childhood education to every meeting, and the Cloverbuds have a great time creating arts and crafts projects.
Junior 4-Her’s are competitive and are between the ages of nine and 12. One afterschool Junior 4-H club is the 4H Cooking and Crafts Club under the leadership of Judi Burke.
Burke has a lifetime of cooking experience and working with 4-Her’s. Another afterschool Junior 4-H club is the 4-H Junior Garden Club which meets every fourth Tuesday, usually at the Extension office, under the volunteer leadership of Carolyn Emerick and Sally Havstad.
