Congratulations to Lucas W. Hensley of Boy Scout Troop 196 for being bestowed the Eagle Scout Award, the highest honor in Boy Scouts, on Sept. 21 at a ceremony held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. This 1997 Culpeper County High School graduate chose as his Eagle project the development of a nature area for Pearl Sample Elementary School on the property between Peart Sample and the Baptist Home. He will continue in scouting as a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 196. Lucas is the son of Scott and Peggy Hensley and the grandson of Adrian and Jean Hensley, all of Amissville. This is a tribute to a deserving young man and we are very proud of his accomplishments!
