She was an active member of the expatriate community in the P.T. Arun and Mobil housing communities and served as the music director and pianist of the non-denominational church there. She was also a member of the bible study group.
Survivors include sisters, Mary Jo Betz of Gering, Nev., Corrie Ruyle of Crete, Nev.; brother, Jerry Hand of Casper, Wyo.; nieces, Lisa L. Betz of Rappahannock County and Brandeth Hand, of Laramie, Wyo.; nephew Jordon Hand of Casper, Wyo.; step-children Robin Herr of New Orleans, La., formerly a resident of Rappahannock, Lloyd Herr, III of Lancaster, Pa. and stepgrandchildren Carla Thrower and Jackie Drewett of Wimberley, Texas. She was preceded in death by her natural and adoptive parents and brother-in-law Don Betz.
