Columbus Day, on Monday the 13th, provides us with another long weekend in which to relax and take time off.

Once again, remember to “Fall Back” as we gain back that hour we lost last April for Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday the 26th.
In the garden; Inasmuch as the first killing frost was scheduled for the 7th, there will not be much activity beyond that date except to clean up any debris and put the soil to bed for the coming winter. Be sure to compost any vegetative matter.
