middle school level for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. In addition to offering varsity level programs, RCHS needs to offer sports programs at the junior varsity level for our 9th and 10th graders.
The interest in sports certainly exists in this county. Specifically, there is so much interest in cross-country that the team bursts at the seams whenever they need to ride a bus for an away meet.
Also, RCHS is giving consideration to altogether dropping our JV soccer team in order to make room for a (much needed) varsity girls soccer team. (An immediate potential solution is that RSL develop a U-16 division in order to incorporate the boys and girls who would feel lost without JV soccer.)
