Gangel reported on the courses that have been added at both schools since 1979. All but one of the classes added at the high school (that one being band which was added in 1979) were added in the last 10 years. To accommodate the courses added the school had to allow for an increase in use of 12.5 rooms. Courses which were added included: three computer labs (two of which are small), three self-contained ED/LD classes, art, Spanish, biology I, environment, chemistry II, Advanced Placement (AP) English, AP math, AP U.S. history, creative writing, public speaking, debate, journalism, drama and an alternative education class.
