Workshop planned
An Arts and Crafts Workshop for children is being offered by Janet Kerig at Old Way Crafts Village, Sperryville, Saturdays Feb. 21, Feb. 28 and March 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The three week workshop is a multimedia experience including basketry, papermaking, tiedye, medicine wheels, art from nature, beadwork, candlemaking, painting, drawing, storytelling and percussion and dance jams. Emphasis is on creativity. Children bring lunch and drinks. Tuition is $75. Pre-registration is required. Tb register call 987-8670.
Janet Kerig is an active teacher and a fiber artist specializing is earth basketry. Currently Kerig is an instructor for the National Park Service at Glen Echo National Park, Md. Janet has taught numerous workshops with Middle Street Gallery for children, as well as volunteer classes with senior citizens and handicapped in Rappahannock and Culpeper.
Black History program slated

Winter camp scheduled
A 4-H Winter Camp for 4-H’ers with previous camping experience, ages 9-13 will be held at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center in Front Royal, Feb. 20-22. 4H’ers from Culpeper and Shenandoah will also be participating. The theme is “Holidays” and the cost for the weekend is $63. Registration is due in the office by Feb. 6. If you are interested call the Extension Office at 675-3619.
