Butler of Boston, Va. From the age of 18 he worked with his late uncle, Charlie Hawkins a contractor here in the county, and- his father Amos Butler. After military service, he worked in Washington, D.C. with his late uncle George Butler of Boston, Va. and later for Hitt Contracting Company in Arlington for 38 years.
He retired in October 1993, moved from McLean, Va. back to Washington, Va. to a retirement house he had built. He lost his battle with cancer October 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Alice C. Butler; daughter, Alicia Butler; son, Phillip K. Butler; son, Jeffrey L. Butler and wife, Jean and grandchildren, Rachel and Michael; sister, Mary Sibert of
