Gladys Dodson Anderson, 80, formerly of Sperryville, died on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at Oak Spring Manor in Warrenton.
She was born in Rappahannock County on Aug. 12, 1917, a daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Jane Atkins Dodson.
Mrs. Anderson was retired from Aileen and was a member of Sperryville United Methodist Church.
Her husband was the late David Smith Anderson.
Survivors include three sons David “Sonny” Anderson of Sperryville, Roger Anderson of Rochelle and Thomas “Billy” Anderson of Castleton; one sister Annie Mary Oden of Front Royal and four grandchildren.
Graveside- services were held on Friday, Jan. 30 at Sperryville Cemetery with the Rev. Merlin W. Shorb officiating.
