Demi, an 8- to 10-year-old female shepherd-cross, housebroken, was found on U.S. 211 near Skyline Drive. The animal shelter has many other pets for adoption: Slider, a 4-year-old male black and tan shepherd-mix, housebroken and lovable; and Shamus, a 5-year-old male border-collie cross, very shy. He needs a quiet family, a foster home to help him with his shyness. The shelter is located near the county landfill in Amissville.
