include those individuals who meet the following two conditions:
(1) The home office is used by the taxpayer for administrative or management activities on a regular basis, and
(2) The taxpayer does not have any other fixed location to conduct administrative or management activities.
This change means that after 1998, taxpayers will no longer be denied a deduction when the home office is used only for administrative and managerial tasks (such as bookkeeping, correspondence, etc.). It should be emphasized that 1997 and 1998 tax returns must be filed under the more stringent pre-1997 tax law rules. Important tax filing
