The making of the crafts is their main interest and maintaining a shop and waiting on customers at the same time was frustrating, said Kalassay. The dust from their wood-working equipment was impossible to control at the shop and so marny projects could not be worked on at the shop as a result.
Kalassay, 50, still works as a database technician in Reston. Holt, 22, who dates Kalassay’s son, is trained as a preschool teacher but gave it up and went to work as a bartender at Hooters Restaurant.
