The Walters Art Gallery located at 600 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, Md. will exhibit Masters of Light, Dutch Painters in Utrecht During the Golden Age, and an exclusive East Coast presentation of Claude Monet’s later works from the Musee Marmottan in Paris.
Only during the week of March 31 will these two exhibits be able to be seen together.
Shimmering Meadows Farm Studio in association with Windflower Gallery will sponsor a two-day trip to Baltimore’s Walters Art Gallery on April 1 and 2.
Artists Carol Vogel, of Shimmering Meadows and Tanya Richey, of Windflower are offering this unique opportunity and will be hosts for a guided tour of the exhibit.
The tour will leave from Windflower Gallery, located at 307 Main Street in Washington, Va., on Wednesday, April 1 at 12 p.m. and arrive at Baltimore at 4:30 p.m.
Additional pick up points may be scheduled.
The group will stay in the all-suite Tremont Hotel, located within walking distance of the museum.
Wednesday evening, a dinner at the famous Haussners Restaurant has been planned; however, tour participants may explore on their own if they wish.
Thursday morning will begin with a complimentary continental breakfast, after which ther group will depart to the museum for a scheduled 10:15 a.m. docent guided tour of the Masters of Light exhibit.
Lunch will be from 12 to 1:25 p.m. at the bookstore/cafe restaurant Louie’s, one half block from the museum.
