County school board member Dennis Wingfield resigned from the board, effective Wednesday, April 1. According to school superintendent Dr. David Gangel, Wingfield submitted a letter to county school board chairman Dr. John Tble, citing “a matter of principle that evolved from an Executive Session issue.”
Gangel declined to provide a copy of the letter to the press because it is a part of Wingfield’s official personnel records. The board voted to accept Wingfield’s resignation in a special meeting on March 26.
