Cathy Lou Smith attended a Virginia School Board Association Conference on March 26 in Charlottesville. Subjects discussed included: Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Learning Disorders and Student Suicides. She also received The U.S. Education Department’s First School Safety Report, released on March 19. A packet from the National School Safety Center included articles on keeping schools safe, tougher discipline, preventing youth violence, and a list of resources for School Safety.
