Steve Soaper, a member of the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad asked the committee to request that the BOS change the speed limit from the flashing light at Route 1001 to the bridge at U.S. 211 to 25 mph and to stipulate no through trucks along that stretch. The committee agreed and voted to forward that request to the BOS.
It was decided that the committee should type up a mission statement. Estes said, in response to audience questions, the idea for the village area is “we’re not growing, we’re evolving.”
