The Rappahannock High School boys soccer team played away last week against I William Monroe and won handily at 6-1.
“It was a terrific game,” said coach Christy Sander. “They played so well they looked to be on an entirely different level than their competition. I had expected it to be pretty even but they all gave a total team effort and everyone was on.”
Mike Letsen scored on a penalty kick for one goal while Colin Nichols got a header off a corner kick.
Steve Torrance scored two goals and Jonathan Moore and Adam Rogers both scored one each.
They play Central away on April 2 at 7 p.m., Stonewall away on April 6 at 4 p.m. and Madison at home April 9 at 5 p.m.
Meanwhile the RCHS girls soccer team was busy taking out Madison High School 2-1.
