Eggs have a very mild flavor and are the perfect companion to herbs. Something as simple as scrambled eggs can take on many different looks and tastes by simply changing the herbs and other ingredients.

According to The Virginia Egg Council scrambled eggs can go up scale for Easter brunch by adding fresh tarragon and cream cheese and serving them in patty shells. The same basic scrambled egg recipe can be served days later with a different look and taste by simply substituting basil for the tarragon and Mozzarella cheese for the cream cheese and serving the eggs in a hollowed out tomato.

Herbs have the magical ability of transforming simple dishes into a variety of exotic tastes. This spring, wake up your family’s taste buds by experimenting with fresh herbs and the bounty of springtime foods.
