Old Dominion races set

Old Dominion Hounds Point-to-Point races will be held Saturday, April 4 at Ben Venue Farm on U.S. 211. Post time for the first of eight races is 12:30 p.m. The Old Dominion races feature a shopping tent village along with a variety of parking options. These range from an $800 tent package for 20 to a $5 general admission ticket. For additional information call 364-2725.

Marker to be dedicated

The dedication for the Sperryville Historic marker will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 on Main Street in the town of Sperryville.

Organizational meeting slated

Lions to celebrate 40 years

Easter egg hunt planned

Once again the Washington Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor their annual Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. on April 11. Age groups are four years and under, four to eight years and nine to 12. Prizes and candy will be given away.

Book Fair to open

Rappahannock County Elementary School Library is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair on Tuesday, April 14 through Monday, April 20. The fair will be open from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. during school days, and special evening hours are planned for Thursday, April 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. Admission is free. Kindergarten registration

The Panther Players Drama Club will perform, The Hobbit at 6:30 p.m. on April 2 at the Rappahannock Elementary School. Donations will be accepted.

Democratic committee to meet

There will be a meeting of the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee on Monday, April 6 at the Rappahannock Library at 7 p.m. Candidates for the Democratic nomination for Congress will be present.
