The breakfast held
Saturday, March 21, to benefit Sharon Scott was a resounding financial success and a wonderful affirmation of the good things about living, in a small community.
Not only did volunteers from every fire and rescue department in the county join together to serve nearly 600 residents, but at the end of the meal when the money was counted and came a bit short of a nice round sum, these same volunteers, many of whom had already paid for their breakfasts and put in six or eight hours of work, dug deep and came up with over $100 additional to bring the total to more than $4,000!
