School Board Members, I !ask you to think long and |hard before you bypass willing and qualified Athletic •Coaches within our school system, and hire new ones. A Tew dissatisfied parents have ^stated our past and present •policy for hiring coaches Ishould be changed. If you go |outside our school system and ■hire supposedly “the best we ican get because we deserve the best, Michael Jordan if he was available,” will these new ; coaches work with our young ;athletes on the elementary 'level, instilling a love for I sports, and a desire to work ^together as a team? Will they work with our high school teams for the same salary as our present ones?
All departments of our ; school system are equally • important, they also deserve !the best. I believe in spending ;our school money wisely. The • more expensive “best” are not ‘ necessary or practical. 1 As you enter the high ! school look to the left at the ; trophy case. Trophies are khere due to hard work. We "have had, and have the best. .When something is not broke why fix it?
