We want to wish Mr. Sam Caldow a happy belated birthday.

He celebrated his 100th birthday with his family on Sunday, Oct. 31 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Mr. Caldow is the only World War I veteran patient there, and is a former resident of Peyton Farms. I am sure he would welcome visits and cards from his friends in Rappahannock.

Our condolences to Mrs. May Anna Atkins of Flint Hill and her family on the passing of her son, Hillard Tharp Sr.

Happy birthday to Harold Scoggin on Harris Hollow Road who will have his day on Tuesday, Nov. 23.
