How many of us stand outside on a dark, starry night looking at the beautiful night sky? If you have not done that recently, go out next time the moon is not out and spend a few minutes looking up.
Hopefully many people living in Rappahannock County realize how beautiful the night sky is and can show our children what the Milky Way looks like. Do you realize there are many people who have grown up and have never seen the Milky Way, or even a sky filled with stars? The reason is that most cities and towns use unshielded lights that end up lighting the sky almost more than they light the ground.
