Mary Priest
Home: Amissville Accomplishments: Mary Priest is a tireless worker in many organizations. She is a member of the Amissville Baptist Church, the Amissville Homemakers, and the Rappahannock Garden Club. She is a past member of the Amissville Fire Department Auxiliary. Because of her love of history and her genealogical background, she is a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Historical Societies in Rappahannock, Culpeper and Fauquier. She has a great interest in genealogy and spends many hours locating and working to get Confederate Veteran Graves marked. Her daughter refers to her mother as the local “Encourager”, because she takes the time to write to and congratulate area children when she reads or hears about their special accomplishments! She has done this for at least 35 children! One of her greatest attributes is her wonderful sense of humor. Mrs. Priest is the wife of Charlie Priest, as well as a doting mother and grandmother.
