Fundraiser underway

The Rappahannock County High School Athletic Boosters are beginning their main fundraiser of the year.

For a donation of only $20 you could be eligible to win a grand prize of $1,000; a second place prize of $750 or a third place prize of $250. Prizes will be given away at the last boy’s basketball game in December. You do not need to be present to win. There will be only 200 tickets printed.

Proceeds benefit the athletes at the high school and the athletic department. Tickets are available from any RCHS coach, at any home game or from any of the following Booster Club members: Nancy and Calvin Atkins, Monte and Lisa Clinedinst or Cheryl Taylor.

Saturday breakfast open to public

Every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Culpeper American Legion Post 330, located one mile north of Culpeper High School, will be serving breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu will include: home fries, bacon, sausage, pancakes, scrambled eggs, coffee, tea, biscuits and gravy. All-you-can-eat will cost $4.95 and the public is invited. Eggs cooked to order, add one dollar.

Turkey shoots planned

Turkey shoots, sponsored by the Jeffersonton Ruritan Club will be held at the Jeffersonton Community Center every Friday night through Dec. 3 beginning at 7 p.m. There will be prizes every round including beef, ham and turkeys. There will be two jackpot rounds every evening. For more information call 937-5363.
