Benefit auction planned
A benefit auction on behalf of Roger Rutherford, a leukemia patient, of Sperryville will be held at the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department on Dec. 4 beginning at 5 p.m. The community at large is encouraged to please help, donate and support in anyway possible. Christmas breakfast planned
The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary is sponsoring an “All American Christmas Breakfast” on Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. Breakfast will be served from 7-11 a.m. Santa will be visiting between 9 and 11 a.m. “Enjoy the company of your friends and relatives, and a delicious meal prepared by Pat Jenkins and Company,” said an organizer. The meal will consist of sausage gravy, eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, baked apples, pancakes, coffee and juice. Adult breakfast will be $5 and $3 for children six years and under. Fund drive underway at Chester Gap
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department is having a special fund drive for the next several weeks in cooperation with Community Support Services. Families will be contacted by phone and asked to make a pledge. Each family that pledges receives a beautiful 10x13 canvas mount portrait, compliments of the fire department.
