Mrs. Johanna Patzig of Sperryville was honored with a reception at the Rappahannock Library Sunday afternoon in recognition of the splendid volunteer work which she has ^done in connection with the library. An engraved plaque >was placed in the library in her honor. Mrs. C.E. Johnson Jr., a trustee of the organization, made the presentation. Douglas Ricketts of Washington was proud of the 13-point buck that he got opening day of the deer season. He was .hunting in the higher elevation north of Washington when :,be bagged his deer which field dressed at 180 pounds. Douglas is 15 years old and took and passed the hunter safety course given by Game Warden Irvin L. Kenyon the past two weeks at the local high school. A Thanksgiving Day worship service is scheduled for 10 -a.m. on Thursday at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville. This service is sponsored as a community project by the Baptist, Episcopal and Methodist churches of the area.
