Rappahannock Youth Soccer League played its first of eight games, Saturday, April 6. Over 150 of our youth are participating at several levels of soccer this Spring, from 5 years of age to 14 years. Following are the game statistics from this weekend’s games. - Coach Hazel’s U-8 “Rapp Grapes” played a”vintage” game against Madison 5. Scoring goals were Tanyon Lee and Conner Forrest. Defense was led by Woody Hazel, Samantha Landstom and Case Kramer, allowing only one goal for Madison team. Go Grapes!
U-8’s Coach Hogan's “Blue Panthers,” team played Madison to a tough 2-1 decision with Madison the victor. Caitlin Humbles showed determination to follow up her shot to score the Blue Panthers. The Whole team displayed a great deal of teamwork and improvement from the off season.
Jim Oyster and his U-8’s played an outstanding game against Madison.
Logan Stephens played an outstanding game defending the goal. Khalil AbuRoman and rTy Bigelow were stellar on Joffense. The entire team displayed excellent skills. Jeff Light led a host of enthusiastic Iparents. Fun was had by all. •Final score Rapp - 7 Madison -
