Have your bidding cards ready for Wakefield CountryDay School's third annuaj auction at Fauquier Springs Country- Club on Saturday. April 13. The auction committee has gathered approximately 300 items ranging from horse feed and lube jobs to designer clothing and oriental carpets.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with hors doeuvres, music by talented Rappahannock artist Lorraine Espinola, and a silent auction, followed by a steak and shrimp dinner at 7:30 p.m., and live auction at 8:30 p.m.
Support from the community has been generous. Trible Equipment of Warrenton has offered a John Deere lawn tractor for one lucky bidder. Other items include a beautiful Pakistani rug from Robert Ballard of R.H. Ballard Fine Art in Washington; dinner for two at The Inn at Little Washington, a gold Celtic cross designed by Edmund Kavanaugh of Jewelry > by Edmund and a pair of silver orbit earrings by gold and silver artist Christopher Goodine.
A large signed and numbered limited edition print “Forrest at Shiloh" has been donated by Jim and Joan Gannon of the Old Sperryville Bixikshop.
