Dreamtime activities slated

Dreamtime Center for Herbal Studies will offer the following events: May 4, “Cooking with Healing Foods”, 9:30 a m. to 4:30 p.m. Leam how to add simple, healing foods to your diet to improve your health. “We'll make and sample tasty dishes, so come hungry,” said an organizer. The class will be taught by Kim Miller and the fee is $70.

On May 11, Dreamtime will sponsor a “Forest Walk” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Leam to identify ginseng, goldenseal, blue cohosh and other spring ephemerals in lush woodlands. Many of these plants were planted by Dreamtime as part of a native plant project with a focus on economic harvest of rare medicinals. Brown bag lunch, herb teas provided. $40 per person. Dreamtime is located on Sunnyside Farms. Call 675-1122 to register.

Benefit sale at Reager School

A yard sale and bake sale will be held on Saturday. May 4 at the Reager School in Huntly. Reager is the newly restored two room school beside the Willis Chapel United Methodist Church. The community is encouraged to share some of the items stored in their attic and garage that are no longer needed.
