Friday, April 5 saw the varsity girls’ softball team play their Bull Run District home opener at the fields behind the elementary school.
Prior to the start of the game Mr. Jon Smythe, the RCHS Athletic Director, called out the names of all the people who had made possible the completion of the dugouts at the softball field.
Those that were there came out onto the field in the vicinity of home plate. These people had contributed financially or donated time and materials and made the completion possible in time for the first varsity home game.
