He said that the first reservation was that Rappahannock never had football, but he realized that that was not a good reason to object; the second reservation was that the high school was too small, but he learned from the Mr. Smythe’s briefing that smaller schools successfully participate in football; and the last reservation was that we could not afford a football program, but he dropped that objection when he learned that the program would be self-sustaining.
