• Assistant Superintendent -Jack Raines provided the Board with a description of the process to he used to find a new RCHS principal, and he reported on the donation of $498.68 by the Fairfax Wildlife Club to the RCES Library.
• Public cpmmenter Ron Makela expressed his opposition to the removal of funds for smoke detectors from the revised school budget, and commented that poor attendance., at the Board of Supervisor’s school budget fiearing was a reflection of the public's lack of support for the School Board. RCSSA President Paul Gall disagreed with Mr. Makela's assessment and said that he did not attend the hearing because a number of Supervisors told him that there should be no problem with the budget as presented. Mr. Gall also expressed his appreciation for the School Board's time and efforts on behalf of the community.
