And in other projects around the Hearth, our herb, flower and vegetable garden^ are expanding with the volunteer help of parents and professional gardeners Pine and Wendy Phillips-Serat. Paige Noel’s students have each made and planted a garden bed and are growing a variety of organic vegetables and flowers.
On Sunday, May 12 Dontez Harris’ music class held a Mother’s Day recital at the school, featuring James Gardner, on Sax, Stephen Hunter on trumpet (accompanied by Mr. Harris on keyboard), and Jack Coon on piano.
Upcoming Hearthstone events include our annual Talent Show, directed by Alice Currin, May 17 at Ki Theatre and a Memorial Day Flea Market Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26. Interested participants are invited to come and peddle their wares
