Rappahannock artist Steven Kenny has been awarded Grand Prize in the Joyce Dutka Arts Foundation 2002 Visual Arts Competition.
Mr. Kenny and nine other artists were chosen from an international field of 145 applicants by a jury of prominent members of the art community that included Professor Jon Kessler, Chairman of the Visual Arts Division at Columbia University.
An exhibition of forty-five oils, acrylics, watercolors and mixed media created by the award winners will be on view from May 15 through 19 at the Salmagundi Club Lower Gallery in New York City. The artists received cash prizes totaling $10,500 and award certificates were present-:
