In our geographic area, a water works usually starts with a field of wells. At Clevenger’s Comer, four to eight production wells, each with a good flow of 50-97 gallons per minute, will probably be found in the southeast comer of the Village Plan. After chemical testing to assure the quality of the water, pump testing would take place for each well. Normally this lasts ' 48-hours, but for a large development it may run a week for each well, during which time the maximum flow would be pumped out of the ground. Then maybe another week of no pumping to see how quickly each well refills. Owners of nearby wells would be notified of the tests so their wells could be checked for any adverse 1 drawdown.
